When four internationally renowned wind soloists and an organ virtuoso like the Essen Cathedral organist come together, BRASS & ORGAN suddenly exults and moves the listener: JUBILISSIMO! The vocal form of JUBILUS, the wordless eruption of tones and melodies, can be found in everything from birdsong to all forms of religious worship. The Church Father Augustine often defined jubilation as an inarticulate expression of excessive joy at the sight of the grandeur of creation or as the immediate voice of the soul beyond all words. However, not only overflowing joy but also boundless sorrow can manifest itself in jubilus, as in GETHSEMANE and GOLGATHA, the two metaphors of the Christian Passion.

Enjott Schneider (born 1950 in Weil am Rhein) is a German composer, musicologist and educator. He studied music and humanities at Freiburg, earning a doctorate under Hans-Heinrich Eggebrecht. Schneider held academic posts in Freiburg and Munich, and later taught composition in Regensburg. He gained prominence in the 1980s as a leading film composer, scoring major German television series and films. His diverse output spans symphonies, operas, concertos and organ works, often blending styles from classical to rock. A prolific author and studio founder, he has received numerous prestigious awards for his music.
