Ferenc Farkas (15 December 1905 – 10 October 2000) was a Hungarian composer and music educator. Born in Nagykanizsa, he studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest under Leó Weiner and Albert Siklós, and later refining his craft in Rome with Ottorino Respighi. His compositions, over 700 works, span all genres: opera, ballet, musicals and operettas, orchestral music, concertos, chamber music and sacred music. As an educator, Farkas was one the most influential in the second half of the century. Among his students were György Kurtág, György Ligeti, László Kalmár and Miklós Kocsár.

Stefano Cascioli (born 1995 in Trieste) graduated in Piano at Trieste’s Conservatory of Music. He also holds degrees in Violin and Composition from the Conservatory of Udine, and Orchestral Conducting from the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale of Saluzzo. Furthermore, he has attended master classes with such artists as Aldo Ciccolini, Paul Badura-Skoda and Robert Levin. Cascioli has won several awards in national and international competitions, and has performed in numerous festivals of modern and contemporary music. Since 2023 he has been the second Kapellmeister at the Theatre of Erfurt.
